I've had a lull with watercolours of late, but have found some inspiration to get some paintings ready for the 85th National exhibition coming up in March. The paintings have to be submitted next week!
This is a sneak peek of one I'm quite excited about. Have a long way to go but I'm taking my time on this as I'm enjoying it so much.
Started of with a wet in wet wash of FUM, Indigo and Y Ochre. Let that dry and have started adding details to the subject.
Have a great weekend every one and catch up with you soon!
Till next time.....

This looks to be another lovely painting. I am looking forward to seeing it all finished. Best of luck! :0)
You are off to a beautiful start with this one, Debbie. Look forward to seeing the completed painting.
Looking really lovely! Can't wait to see it finished..
You are not the only artist that has ever found competitions to be motivating. :-)
Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much Sandra!
Thank Carol..... it's sitting staring at me wishing for me to carry on, but I'm taking it slow!
Isn't it funny how things like this give you a reason to paint when all seems lost Victoria,Thanks for the feedback!
Martine, you are a honey! Thanks for your lovely comments, always! For those who don't understand French.... this is the translation (direct).
Dear Debbie, first of all one thank you very much for this last left comment on my blog. Your rhinoceros was very decisive for my last ongoing painting this animal fascinates me why? I would not know how to say it...
Let us come back from it to our sheep! As regards this painting in nice and big progress, I admire the drawings, which for me is a solid foundation. The worry of the details which are teeming magnetizes me and in fact already a very appealing cloth.
All my congratulations on the exhibition to come.
I make you big kisses and wishes you happy one saint Valentine.
Looking very good so far - I'm looking forward to seeing the end result!
